"Do I wanna know?" she wonders, turning to head towards the kitchen area to grab them both a drink - or to grab herself two drinks, if it turns out that Avalon isn't into whiskey. "I'm glad I didn't get animals; I saw other people making spiders and stuff."

I don't think we need a mediator, either; we're good.

Did you only go through with all that to make things easier with Will?

I dunno. If it weren't for Will, I probably would've figured we could just deal with it on our own, but if Kiryu had offered or asked anyway... I don't think I would have turned him down.

They step back from Jet, glancing around Shaw’s cabin. “I had small animals and empty containers, for the most part. Those, and my item.” They wear an identical bracelet on their other wrist, this one serving its original purpose.

When Shaw comes back with the whiskey, Avalon studies their glass for a moment before taking a sip. They know whiskey is stronger than Earth wine. Maybe this will affect them more than Rawne’s sacra had.

That’d be great! I love swimming. And then I can tell Will where the fish are.

"Have you ever had alcohol before?" she wonders. Probably, she realizes, that's a question she should have asked them before serving them, but-- oh, well. Hindsight.

You can tell him I have a newfound disappreciation for fishing, too. One of my temps took me.

Was it a bad time? Oh! Was it all the being quiet? That'd hard for me too. Did you catch anything?

It was the sitting and waiting without anything to concentrate on. I could do spearfishing; that's more like sniping. Line-fishing, though? Boring.

But yeah, we got some stuff.

For people like Will it's meditative. It's a sort of zen place for him to go and feel peace.

Yeah. Doesn't do crap for me, though.

Me either. I can't make my mind quiet. The sensory deprivation helmet makes me want to scream, no matter how overstimulated I am.

See, I like that. It's not boring, it's nothing.
