Neal made it to Shaw's with Malcolm's help. He was surprised and relieved that she asked, though there's a layer of apprehension in it, too. He's waiting to be yelled at once he's flopped onto the bed in his pajamas, Malcolm having left.

He brought George with him, and the cat is making the rounds of the room before returning to the mattress and climbing onto Neal's hip. He stays put, half-under the one blanket he managed to tug over him before he got tired.

"I can do that." His voice definitely still sounds like someone took a knife to his vocal cords.

Eiffel manages to make it without needing Shaw's help, but that's large because he has the wall to help him keep his balance. He is very obviously not sober, which - is going to be a brand new state of affairs for him for both Shaw and Neal.

He flops down next to Neal, making a half-hearted attempt to finish pulling the blanket over Neal for him. "Hey, shhhhh, relax." And then he pats Neal's hair, clumsy but affectionate. "You just gotta relax. Nnnno more talking."

Don't mind Shaw, boys; she's busy setting some water to boil on the stove, keeping her back turned, and trying very hard not to laugh out loud. The flood is making this harder than it should be. She definitely lets out a couple of snorts.

Neal turns his head to look at Eiffel, see-sawing between amusement and concern. "Are you okay?"

"Totally okay. I'm freakin' tubular." He reaches out his hand to try patting George, and mostly ends up gently bapping the cat's soft side. "Just had a li'l bit to drink, tha's all. You're dead, though, you should be- go have a nap."

"He's plastered," Shaw interjects, glancing at Neal. "But he's right. I'm making you both food, though."

“Tubular,” Neal mimics under his breath. Louder, he says, “Making what? Is it a surprise?”

Eiffel throws a hand into the air with aggressive enthusiasm and yells way too loud. "Do chicken wings!"

Even Shaw, who is totally sober and unheadachey, winces at the noise.

"No. He's getting broth and you're getting stuff to soak up all that alcohol, dude."

Neal cringes visibly at the shout, adding a melodramatic hand to his ear for good measure.

“Eiffel, have mercy.”
