Cool. I'm guessing this is the part where everybody acts like I'm crazy and overbearing for thinking an inmate getting their hands on cyanide and using it to hurt someone is a problem we should look into.

I'm not sure what you mean, miss. I've shared with you all the details I know.

The identity of the victim is privileged medical information only to be shared if there is a medical need. It's also not terribly pertinent to the situation at hand.

[cactusy]

No, I know, I don't mean you. I'm talking about the identity of the perpetrator. If the victim and their "companions" aren't telling you jack, I'm guessing they're not planning on warning anybody else, either.

[transfundere]

I would not presume to know what their plans are, or why they're keeping things quiet. But discretion has its place when dealing in delicate matters and in ensuring that what information is shared is accurate and actionable.

'Someone has poison!' with no further understanding of motive, means, or intent could just cause suspicion amongst the population or even allow for an opportunist to utilize the scare to muddy the waters with their own misdeeds. I have no doubt that when the situation is more fully understood, there will be communication provided. I also have no doubt that if the wardens involved believed it to be a more wide-reaching threat, they would inform others more immediately.

From what you said, it sounds like they have a pretty good handle on motive already.

But whatever.

I could not say. If I am made aware and I am not asked to keep the information to myself, however, I would be happy to pass it on to you.

You don't have to tell me personally. I'm just thinking this is the kind of thing there should be a long ledger entry about.

I would agree. And intend to urge those involved to do so.

Hopefully not. I have my bag with quite a few supplies on hand.

If you would care to be prepared for any other potential poisonings, keeping our stock of hydroxocobalamin and activated charcoal on hand might not be a bad idea, not to mention the oxygen tanks. I took a few of the bottles for injection, as well as some tablets and activated charcoal tablets; I only took the one tank and have left it with them in case of emergency while I'm attending to this business.

Does the Admiral give out this stuff, or do we have to find a way to source it ourselves?

[transfundere]

We have medical supplies, kept in the infirmary under lock and key. You should be able to access them but if you need something and for some reason can't get in, I'm happy to come up and unlock it, of course.

As for where they come from, some are from the Admiral, yes. Others, we source at the ports as best we can. There wasn't much to get at the last port beyond some chemical compounds.

Yeah, I'm talking about when we run low on those. What kinds of stuff does the Admiral provide?

What is requested, within reason of course. Largely, I've replaced used supplies.

Is there something specifically you'd be interested in us stocking?

Nothing that we don't already have. I'm just thinking I should know this stuff.
