Well, I asked for a direction or what progress looks like and there wasn’t an answer. Tell me how to draw another conclusion. How are you drawing it?

How about you start by treating me like I'm a goddamn person instead of a videogame you're trying to level up on. Okay? If a person matters to you as more than just a concept or an idea you've come up with in your head, that means the process of getting to know them matters, not just some hypothetical end goal where they always do what you want and tell you everything you want to know.

I told you before that I don't tink I can give you what you're looking for. For the record, I still think that's true. I think you like the idea of being friends with me, or you like the me you've made up in your head. But you've never given me a single sign that you actually like me, and the fact that you think the process of actually getting to know me is too slow and boring and pointless unless there's some concrete win for you at the end of it? Just reinforces that.

That’s not how I think of it. That’s how you think I think of it because the way I process information is somehow offensive to you. How am I supposed to get to know you at any speed when you veto every topic I ask about? You pick a topic, then. Pick something to talk about that qualifies for this… point in the relationship.

Why, if apparently every time I've done that before it's meant nothing to you, because you're only interested in what you're interested in and that's that?

How you process information isn't offensive to me. How you treat people and how you react when people respond badly is offensive to me. I don't know how many different ways I'm gonna need to say that before it sinks in, but right now, you're talking like those meetings with Kiryu never happened and we're back at square one.

This is another one of those boundaries you need to respect even if you don't like it. I'm too pissed off, I'm tired, and I don't wanna do this right now. The stuff I want matters too, even if it doesn't matter to you. That's a hell of a hard thing to learn if it doesn't come naturally. I get it. I had to learn it, too.

I just… don’t understand when a dismissal is a hard boundary and when it can be discussed. I’m never allowed to say that I don’t agree, can you consider changing your mind based on these things? That’s always disrespecting boundaries? If you can’t have different opinions and discuss them, how do conversations even work?

You don't get to disagree when I say "This sucks for me, this isn't working for me right now, I want you to stop". That's not an opinion. You don't get to negotiate whether I'm too tired and angry to deal with something or whether I have to keep going despite that because you want me to. Kiryu told you this, too.
