Bold of you to assume that.

Come find me and kidnap me. Bet you can't do it without anybody noticing.

[Shaw isn't exactly disrupting her schedule for this, but she is done with anything pressing: she's worked out, she's had lunch, her inmate is in good condition, the infirmary is settled, and she's not currently on patrol duty. If an evil villainous inmate were to find her hanging out by the main deck railing and steal her away, it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.]

[ A full-fledged kidnapping might be a little bit difficult, given Root lacks tools. A taser is good, but she still has to get Shaw to their cabin, and a taser isn't the most subtle of weapons out there. Still, she'll do her best.

Unless Shaw is working out extra hard today, she's most likely to be in the dining hall or on deck. Root explores in that order. Once on the deck, she makes no effort to be stealthy, just walks right up to Shaw, hugs her from the side, and whispers into her ear-- ]

I've got a taser and I'm not afraid to use it, but if you don't want to cause a scene, you should just walk with me.

[Shaw inhales deeply, in a way that's subtly performative: it flexes the strong muscles in her back and shoulders, all-too-visible in her tank top. She lifts her head slightly, too, exposing the skin of her neck.]

Sounds serious.

[She murmurs.]

What are you planning to do to me?

[themostfun]

[ Easy to see, and easy to feel, what with how close to her Root is. Good thing she's had a lot of practice being a patient little weirdo. ]

You'll have to come with me if you want to find out.

[ She doesn't emphasize that any differently than she would normally, but she's also not not coming onto Shaw. ]

[She steps sloooooowly back from the railing, her hipbone pressing against Root.]

Just so you know? I'm thinking about causing a scene.

[themostfun]

Mm, that'd be a shame. [ She shifts so her arm is around Shaw's waist. ] If you do that, I'm not going to be interested anymore in what I had planned.

[cactusy]

And that won't be a win for me? I'm scared you might have something pretty nasty planned.

["I'm scared" she says, not sounding scared at all, but listen. No one said Shaw was good at roleplay.]

[themostfun]

[ Shaw you're adorable never change ]

Oh, it's not that kind of nasty.

[Shaw rolls her head back to look at her, breaking "character" to say--]

Dude, what's the point in kidnapping me if you're not even going to play along?

[themostfun]

"I'm scared"?

[ Root tsks. ]

There's nothing to be afraid of. We're gonna have so much fun.

[cactusy]

I'm not actually scared.

[She spins around in Root's hold so that she's facing her, her back is against the railing.]

Maybe I miss you terrorizing me the way you used to. I can take it. Samaritan didn't turn me into glass.

[Not in this way, anyway.]

[themostfun]

I know.

[ But maybe it's just not so easy for Root to go back to normal. Maybe Shaw's ordeal turned Root into glass, a thing with sharp, jagged edges that can do so much damage but shatter in the process. Maybe she's afraid of how much it'll hurt her to play these games, or that she'll start crying mid game because reality will seep in and she'll remember that Shaw was gone for a long time and now she's here and the relief will overwhelm her.

Root keeps her cool, though. The taser is tucked in an inside jacket pocket, and it's new enough that she can still easily feel its mass through all that fabric. ]

Now stop stalling, or it'll only be worse when we get there.

[cactusy]

[Shaw goes quiet and still for several beats: hands on Root's forearms and studying Root's face, like she's trying to puzzle something out. She wants to ask if she's okay, but she can feel Root trying to push through whatever is going on with her, so she decides to let it go. For now. At least until they're back in the cabin, anyway. Stretching up, she presses a quick, feather-light kiss to Root's lips - a gesture at odds with whatever dumb bullshit they're doing right now - and says:]

Okay, you got me. Where to?

Just walk with me. You don't get to ask questions here.

[ Root gives Shaw a dazzling smile and starts for the stairs, keeping an arm around Shaw's waist. Once they're in the cabin with the door shut, Root turns to face Shaw and shoves her hard against the wall. ]

Let's get started. Ready or not.

[ The last bit she says as she pulls the taser out of her pocket. So proud of it. Of having cracked the safe open. It's game time. ]

[Shaw hits the wall with a soft thump and a grin, one hand straying towards the hem of Root's shirt.]

You packing anything else?

[She murmurs, curling a finger around fabric.]

Might end up needing it. I put up a fight.

[Did you remember the handcuffs, Root?]

[themostfun]

[ The handcuffs are in a pocket in her pants. ]

I'm hoping you will.

[ A wicked grin crosses Root's lips. She presses the business end of the taser into Shaw's side, keeping it off for now. ]

Are you gonna fight me all the way to the couch?

[cactusy]

[Shaw inhales quietly - more out of anticipation than anything, but it's a sound that she hadn't planned to make.]

You know? I think I will.

[And she attempts to spin them - aiming, if she isn't stopped, to slam Root up against the wall instead.]

[themostfun]

[ Oh. Fun. Root is smiling when her back hits the wall, and she doesn't skip a beat, flipping on the taser for a good, solid shock. ]

[cactusy]

[And that gasp comes back in full force as Shaw throws her head back, her muscles going momentarily rigid as the electricity courses through her. It's a low-grade taser, so it's not going to knock her out, but she still feels it.

It's a different kind of pain from the tattoo gun, but no less good and exciting in its own way. She'd made a good choice.]

[themostfun]

[ Shaw looks and sounds so good like that. Root's grin is smug as she takes the opportunity to move them to the couch, talking as she goes. ]

It's really cute when you fight back, like you could actually get away. But don't worry. I won't let anything bad happen to you.

[cactusy]

Bite me.

[She murmurs once she gets her breath back, as she's shuffled across the room.

... The husky, amused tenor of her voice miiiiiiight make it clear that she means this quite literally.]
